 Arizona is celebrating the birthday of Cesar Chavez, a native of Yuma Arizona, and founder of the United Farm Workers of America. Chavez , former farm worker turned labor leader, is honored in words and music at the following three events in the Phoenix metro area:

Glendale, Saturday March 26, 7pm, Si Se Puede!: The Legacy of César E. Chávez  – Glendale Public Library.

 

Phoenix – Monday March 28                                                                                     8am-1pm.            César E. Chávez Day of Service 2009 Youth Call To Action , First New Life Missionary Baptist Church .

                 1pm-5pm       César E. Chávez Day of Service 2009 Community Fair , Lindo Park
